A weekend in the garden - a new border is created

This weekend we are gardening and today we tidied up the area by the main entrance. It's been a bit of a mess for a while now, since doing the drive some time back the earth that was dug out with the digger to give a bit more turning space on the drive, has been sat in a pile on the grass. In a nutshell it was unsightly and I wanted something done. No need to write any else really as the pictures will tell their own story.

Joe put in some lengths of wood to act as a retaining wall this side of the fern

Some weed matting needs to go down next, then we shall decide what to plant there, then the whole area will be mulched. All we need now is some money to buy some plants and some rain to water them in.
