Tuesday sTitchWITs...

Before I show and tell, we've had a slight name change for our Tuesdays, originally it was Tuesday Knitwits, then more recently Stitch and Bitch, but I don't like the 'bitch' part!
Awfully rude you know! :D
So it's now called sTitchWITs a hybrid of both names...although some letters tend to stand out for some reason!! :D haha
Dawn was here again today and she had left a message on my forum saying she was..
" Off to knitwits, stitching bitches witches britches."
A pretty awesome name in it's own right and well worth a mention and who knows it may well stick!

Last week we made tea cosies from blankets, not recycled but 'UPcycled apparently..this week Dawn wanted to make a hot water bottle cover, and so she did..
(I forgot to take a photo of her tea cosy last week)

It's rather cool I reckon...

..and the  back looks like this, the horizontal blanket stitch is where a pocket opens to allow you to put in your hot water bottle...

I would have liked to make one too but a week ago I set myself (and anyone else who wanted to join me) a UFO challenge. Up until today I was failing miserably and nearly ditched the idea, especially one UFO....luckily it came right today. I managed to complete two UFOs and I will share them tomorrow  when the challenge ends. How are you getting on?

See you tomorrow....♥

PS Thank you for all of your comments, I do appreciate them, I just forget to say thank you, also for your kind words about Ems ♥

Tuesday stitch and bitch - A tea cosy for Joe

A friend came over today for a day of crafting, we used to call it Tuesday knitwits but we're not really knitting at the moment, hence the name change. We've recently resurrected the Tuesday as sometimes life gets in the way and we hadn't had a get together, last week was the first one we've had for a while. I was rapidly trying to finish Sue's Blooming flower cushion last week in time for her birthday the very next day so that's what I was doing. My friend wanted to make a tea cosy from recycled blankets and she started it last week and finished it today. I do have a stack of UFO's and intend to get those finished soon, I might set a challenge for any of you to join me, so watch this space. Is it physically possible to finish one project before starting another?
I wasn't in the mood for the UFO's today however and decided to make a blanket tea cosy too, this time for Joe, so it had to be a bit manly cos he's such a 'bloke'! All up from start to finish it took me about 3 hours to make.

Cool innit! :-D

I've got a few things other things that I need to share with you on here, but not today, I've got to go and close the curtains! I may be gone sometime....we have lots of windows!
Back soon as I've been bit of a slack Alice in the blog department!

I'm back..again! I'm in and out like a fiddlers elbow!

Did you miss me?.... Whaddya mean 'Miss who?'?... Me! Ya know... me...Sue! Yeah Sue, the silly tart who ain't been posting much lately....the one who makes sure you get a laugh on Fridays!....Phew! I thought you had forgotten me altogether then!

Ok, finally I prised the credit card out of Joe's cold dead hands (not really but it was like that!) and I have bought some more GB space on Picasa so I can add more photos using Blogger and not Photobucket, which is great but it takes too long.

I will endeavor to bring you all up to date with what's been going on, so expect lots of posts and photos! Oh gawd I hear you moan...now don't be like that, ya know ya love it!

First up today, my wee nephew Mason who was born prematurely in April has finally grown into the clothes I knitted for him.

Isn't he just gorgeous? ♥

PS At the end of each post for the foreseeable future(read run out of quotes) I shall share with you some Feng Shui, which is the traditional Chinese art of creating good fortune by rearranging furniture and intriducing special symbols such as wind chimes into your home. However this is not just yer ordinary Feng Shui! No sirree! It's special, it's Dumb Feng Shui, courtesy of Kaz Cooke who I would love to be my friend!

Tuesday knitwits - in a sea of wool!

I think I may have a glut of wool, and that's not all of it! How did it all get here? Pretty sure it wasn't me! I know nuffink yer 'onour!

Regardless of how it all got here, I'm slowly disposing of the evidence, after completing the hexagon blanket and inspired by a friend, I've started using up my 'I don't know where it all came from' stash, to make a textured hexagon wallhanging.

I only managed to add another two hex's, cos there's too much gabbing going on here when the Tuesday Knitwits Knitter Natters get together !!
