In the kitchen today - Samosas
Woohoo! A post that's not related to renovations or painting! I bet you are all so relieved about that! Ok now to my favourite subject ...FOOD!
On tonights menu we have samosas, a very simple and quick meal to make and they are delicious.
Take one pack of short pastry sheets...............
Allow to thaw, cut into quarters.................
Brush along the cuts with milk, this helps to seal the edges.....
Put a spoonful of filling in the centre, in this case leftover lamb curry and rice, the option for filling are endless, generally I just use mince with some veggies and curry powder....
Fold it in half by taking one corner to the other, press down along the edges.......
Brush with milk and put into the oven at about 180degC for about 25 mins or until the pastry is brown............
Serve with a salad and chilli sauce...........we had ours with tomatoes and a French dressing and home made plum sauce or you can have it with whatever you want to serve it with...enjoy.
