Getting ready for Christmas

All the Christmas shopping was done on Wednesday. Joe got home from work and around 5.30pm we headed out, we bought a few pressies, we don't go daft, had a meal at the pub then got the groceries we needed. By 10.30pm we were sitting on our recliners with a nice drink, so total Chrisrtmas shopping time, five hours from start to finish, not bad eh?

In readyness for Christmas day I've been baking, today I've made a boiled sultana cake...
made mince pies, including the mincemeat....
a fresh loaf.......
and a curried rice salad....
Joe cooked the ham and the turkey(no pic yet!)
Christmas Eve dinner...glazed ham with new potatoes, green peas and beans from the garden..

I'm about to go and turn the oven off and let the pavlova cool, tomorrow I will whip some cream for the top and pile high with strawberries from the garden.
Also tomorrow I'll make potato salad, coleslaw and a green leaf salad.

This time tomorrow Christmas Day will be almost over for us.
