Show and tell and a UFO challenge...

Just thought I'd share with you a few of my latest purchases.
Recently I ordered some craft books off Fishpond, two have arrived...

One is,  Homespun by Selina Lake. "If flat packed furniture and expensive designer pieces aren't your thing, and you'd rather make your own cushion cover than buy it, then this book is for you. It Showcases inspiring homes from around the world and it reflects our growing passion for crafting, stitching and making......."

In fact it's droolingly gorgeous! I have to thank Lucy over at her truly beautiful blog Attic24 for introducing the book here. She goes on later to share some work inspired by the book, here and here.

The other book that arrived today is this book of 100 flowers to knit and crochet by Lesley Stanfield. There are heaps, one hundred in fact, ;-D little bundles of gorgeousness.

Excuse the poor quality photos, just how do your take photos of books without getting the light reflecting back at you?

Next....!

Some of you may remember back in March I bought a rather cute cane chair off Trade Me, look here for a reminder. I still haven't started that project, hence the UFO challenge, more on that in just a moment. Here is another pretty awesome cane chair scored for a score! ($20)

Nice and comfy too, Tiger thinks it belongs to him, if you want to know the best seat in the house then find the one the cat's in!

A UFO Challenge!

And no it's not looking for Unidentified Flying Objects so no need to go all Richard Dreyfus on me!
It's not code for You Eff Off either, because I wouldn't want you to do that! I want you to stick around
UFO in this case stands for UnFinished Objects and it can be any project or job that you have yet to complete. I have a growing pile, so before I will allow myself the indulgence of getting inspiration and starting something new from my lovely new books, I must finish the UFOs
Now I have set myself the challenge I will have to achieve my goal because you all know about it and if I fail miserably then I will have to bow before you and confess!

So! Does anyone want to join me?

Starting from tomorrow, Thursday, we have ONE week to finish as many UFOs as you can. It doesn't have to be a craft, it can be anything eg: cleaning out your pantry, fridge or yer undies drawer!
Whatever it is go do it! Go do it NOW!

See you back here in a week, leave a comment so we can call in to your blog and look at what visions of loveliness you want to share.

Good luck!
Right, can't start anything without a cuppa first!
Wot? I'm British...it's wot we do!
