My dirty little secret........

...not that dirty actually but it made you sit up and wonder didn't it!! haha. I'm working my way through my pile of UFO's and I've been sharing those with you as I go, what I haven't shared is this...

The UFO basket! Recently sorted through and half of it biffed out or put in the box for the op shops.
There are a few things still in it however  requiring attention.

The pile of contents...

Hand knitted cardi which has faded patches.
Needs dyeing and new buttons.
Time living in basket - probably a year!

Two lovely shoulder wraps/scarves.
Need making into cushions, purple one may stay as a shawl.
Life in basket probably a year again!

Quilt top
Needs batting, backing & quilting
Life in basket...forever!

Pile of linen tea towels with recipes on them.
Need to make into door curtain for kitchen. Need more tea towels
Life in basket, a while and will be there until said tea towels are acquired

Black dress, bought new, still with label.
Need's shortening and shoulders adjusted.
Life in basket, who knows!

There was one other thing in there, a book full of cat crafts. One project I had started last year I think and got sidelined. I pulled it all out to see where I was with it.
The next three photos are from the book

The dividing lines are appliqued on, I didn't like that idea much especially as the cats will be appliqued and that's more than enough appliqueing for anyone and I didn't want to be all appliqued out as I might want to applique something else down the line!

This is as far as I had got, cutting out the cats!

So this is the general idea of the layout

This is as far as I got before the light rapidly went and it turned blimmin' cold!

Two kitties down, seven more to go.

Oh I did finish two sewing jobs, Joe needed a t-shirt shortened and I had a top for the beach (think floaty) that needed adjusting (read make the side seams wider!!)

Tomorrow is an anniversary day, not a wedding or anything like that but the day ten years ago we landed in New Zealand for a new life.
I hope to put together some photos in a video but it might be a tall order, I've taken heaps of photos!

Anyway that's me done, see ya next time ♥
