First goat show of the season - Saturday 1st November

Waikato's world (http://www.waikatosworld.co.nz/), Oct 31st, November 1st & 2nd marked the start of the A&P show season, A&P standing for Agricultural and Pastoral.

Saturday 1st November was the day the Traditional Boer goats were shown. We had a few entries this time, we didn't get there last year due to one thing and another. I didn't expect to win anything, especially after the winter we'd had. But it was just good to be able to show.

We didn't do too badly in the end and actually brought some ribbons home.

The first class we were entered into was:

Doe kid born after August 1st 2008. Della daughter of Pearl got 2nd place.

Next class was Buck kid born after 1st August 2008, Dante, son of Pearl got 3rd

Then it was Buck over 24mths up to 36mths. Our big fella Dutch got 1st place.

The final class we entered was the Breeders medal. Any age, any sex, but must be bred by the breeder. We got placed joint 3rd
