How I made the Santa wall hanging.

Here it is, a couple of days later than promised, but as they say good things come to those that wait!
A picture of what the end result should look like

All I needed to make the quilt was provided in the pack

Making up the backing

Positioning the traced and cut out shapes with the iron on adhesive

Pinned in place ready for ironing on

All pieces ironed in place and ready for appliqueing

Making a start on the appliqueing




Layering the wadding

Pinning the edging

Backstitching the edge

Trimming the excess

Slip stitiching the edge on the reverse side


Adding loops for a means of hanging the quilt

A loop

Ready for quilting

Beginning the quilting

The end result, the tree needs a star or an angel embelishment just to finish it off!
