And the processing of plums continues, I think that I may be looking at plums for the next few days at least...........
So today I froze some, 10kgs to be exact, which is about 22 pounds.....and still there is more...I am beginning to dream of plums... anyway I halved, de-stoned and weighed in batches of 1 kg....
Laid them cut side up on trays and put them in the freezer for a few hours......................
Then when they had hardened I bagged them and put them back in the freezer......
Next up............plum wine, tune in tomorrow, same time, same channel...........
The color of those plums is absolutely gorgeous!! Good luck with the wine.
ReplyDeleteI think they are called Black Doris, and I'm pretty sure if they got really ripe they would be even darker. Off out to buy a barrel now.
