Sunday 31st January - A hard days graft

We got so much done today, we were all knackered by the end of the day and Joe and I were so pleased with everyone efforts.
Any outdoor jobs were soon put to a halt when the heavens opened, although we did manage to get the part of the cleared dovecote border mulched. Then rain stopped play and we all went into the barn. the barn has had a pile of wood in there for at least 2 years now. It's been one of those jobs that has always been bumped down the to-do list as other things have always been needed doing more. As you can see from the picture it wasn't hard to ignore, it was best to walk away from it and quickly! But as of yesterday it doesn't look like that anymore! We also got a couple of animal bays cleared out too.
Chopping up some of the wood for kindling

Even Aaron our electrician got in on the act!
What wasn't needed for kindling or for re-using was burnt
Two big bags, plus one big drum and one feed sack of kindling cut. that should do us for a while!

Now that looks better!
Max 'kills' a soft toy dog! RIP toy dawg!

My photo of the day today is this! Not much to look at I know but to me an overflowing water tank is a beautiful sight to behold!
