Ok babies reported on, now back to the other stuff!

Before I show photos of todays efforts, I thought you might like to see photos of the rooms I took during the day, you get a better idea of the colours used in natural light....

Look at that cutting in!!
Okay today I've been painting the woodwork, I've got the first coat on, second coat tomorrow. I took these without a flash, I'm not sure they have come out very well, but you'll get the idea.. Oh!! and PLEASE, just look at the paint, NOT the filthy windows!

More showing off, look at that lovely line along the top of the skirting board!
Tomorrow I'll be doing more of the same, applying the second coat. Also need to prime/undercoat the double doors and the door into the TV room. The frames are done and Michael...yes! Michael! He helped...I know, shock horror! Michael, filled the nail holes, the frames need to be sanded down before I can paint. Then Joe will put the door handles on. I think Joe intends to put the tiles in the doorways tomorrow too.
On Friday another company is coming to measure for carpets, we've decided to use these people, so by this time next week these rooms may have carpet and we'll be moving in!!

  2. We are, will be glad to be able to start using those rooms soon. Still have the office and hallway to do, but can't move on with that until the plasterer comes back to finish what he needs to do.

  5. Mel have you noticed they looks like caramel chocolate and vanilla ice cream lol!!
Course you can ask chook. The main wall colour is a Dulux paint called Marton, however our others colours were by Resene so for ease, we had resene make it up as they had the formula. The feature wall colour is Mondo, the photos really don't do it justice, its a fab colour. The wood is double pearl lustre, it was the closest match to the aluminium joinery in the window and door frames.
