The last of our homekill pork sausages, mashed potato, kumara, swede with butter, salt & pepper and a little milk and cauliflower, broccolli and leeks in a cheese sauce, ooh and onion gravy.............. It was so warming I'm sweating! Phew!
Ah I thought so, they are called bangers because if they are poorly made they have a tendency to go bang when being cooked. Also during WW2 they were so full of water they went bang....so now we know :D
You know I cook a bit with sausages but have yet to make something like this.Must be so good to be able to eat your own "homegrown" snaggers.Would so love to try some of yours!

ReplyDeleteThose were the last of the pork, but we had a beast killed recently and now we will have beef sausages! :D
