Monday meandering and progress in the garden

Just a few photos of how we're getting on with Charles' help and some other sights in the garden

...the tree finally gone
...still work to do, rotary hoeing to do, lawn edging to put in and a ton of mulch to put down

The silk tree's leaves are growing

Tiger looks on

The garden by the workshop and washing line with all the path edging tidied

I am loving the slabs under the line!

54 Lavender plants have gone in so far, I have 18 punnets, 6 plants in each on order.

The rambling rose by the entrance of the drive border

The front door border, weeded and lawn edges tidied

My neighbour kindly said I could take some pink flowering ground cover plants from his garden, Charles & I got heaps, quite a few went in the spaces of the driveway border and even more went in the slope behind the workshop/veg garden. I may regret at a later date planting so many, I don't expect all of them to survive, we could do with some rain to water them in.

Mac & Donald are settling in well

...and the grass in the paddocks has gone crazy!

Tonight we said farewell to Stephanie who after initially only coming to NZ for 6 weeks (and was supposed to leave in September) is leaving on the 19th to continue her travels in Asia, first stop Bali.
It was lovely to meet you Stephanie, safe travels and make sure you come back and see us soon

♥♥♥

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, we shall remember them

and now I'm off to bed, g'night all
