The end is nigh and Deja vue

Tell me if you're getting sick of looking at his quilt, my fingers and eyes are getting slightly tired of it. I am, however, on the final straight. I'm not sure if I'll get a chance to carry on with it tomorrow as Joe will be home. If he's got something to keep him occupied for a couple of hours then I'll go do some more, I just want it done so I can move on to the next project.

I am pleased to announce that I have finished the quilting! Well as much as I'm prepared to do for now. Not the best photos I'm afraid, it was dark outside when I went back to the barn and the lighting isn't too good up there. A request for better lighting has been submitted to the management! ;-D

It doesn;t look much different from yesterday does it? LOL! Sorry.

I even got binding sewn onto one edge!

Yesterday I said that I thought it needed something else.
The lines cross over here where the coloured square corners meet. I think it needs something, I've ruled out appliqueing anything there as that's just too much work.

I ruled this out too, stitching on the inside of the masking tape then a cross! Nope!

This is a potential option. Keeping in with the grid like pattern I might, emphasis on 'might' stitch like the rest where I have laid the thread. Of course I may never pick it up again once finished!!

Miss Praying Mantis wasn't bovvered either way!

Next time you see the quilt, it will be on the bed, I promise.
Have a nice evening or if your day is just starting, have a good'un

  4. YOU'RE NEARLY THERE! There is nothing to stop you having it on the bed and deciding later if you wish to add more quilting. Once that binding is on and sewn down it is a usable quilt.

    1. Just taken a pit stop from it, I've got two more edges to bind!! And yeah that's what I thought, decide at a later date if I want to add more. I am thinking that once it's on the bed it might not need anything else :D

  5. It's looking great ... I'd only add more stitching if you find you need it later. Get that binding on and you can call it finished ... hurrah ... all the rest is tweaking.
