After the wedding, much needed R&R at Waihi Beach

*Grab a cuppa or a holiday tipple, lots of pics coming up*
The Wednesday after the wedding, my sister Sandra went home sadly, it really was a flying visit, so she didn't get to the beach with us, although we all went bowling to Sky city in Hamilton and she did get to one beach, Raglan, followed by fish and chips at the Wharf

After Sandra left on the Wednesday, Michael & Natasha took her to the airport, we threw everything we needed for the beach into Joe's truck and off we went to a friends bach(pronounced batch), their holiday home at Waihi Beach

Day trip to the Coromandel Peninsula
Michael & Natasha came up to the beach on the Thursday, Monica & Trevor left on Friday. On the Saturday Joe, me, Liz & Pat went on a tiki tour, from Waihi beach we headed to Waihi, Paeroa and then Thames. We were admiring all the lovely old buildings and decided to stop for a look around, there happened to be a big street market on

Back in the car and we drove along the coast road

4 or 5 trucks like this leave here every day, they are filled with mussels from the mussel farm

Next stop Coromandel town

Then it was over the hills to Whitianga

And a bite to eat at Salt

 Whilst overlooking the marina

By now it was getting late in the afternoon and we decided to head back to the bach, with a couple of view stops on the way.

A quick stop at Tairua when Michael had his stag do and went out fishing

We hope to get back up to the Coromandel and continue from where we left off.

On the Sunday, Joe, Liz and Pat went for a walk to Karangahake gorge, my knees weren't up to it

And that will do for today
