I had a creative moment today and decided to make some Christmas tree decorations, I kept the design simple and used some of the left over fabric from the Santa wallhanging. It was whilst I was doing this that I realised that I had never finished posting about that, so I shall remedy that tomorrow. But for now here's one I made today... :D
You will need:
4 different fabric designs
Iron on adhesive backing
Quilters wadding
Scissors
Thread
The basic design
Trace the shapes
Iron onto adhesive backing and cut out
Positon shapes and iron
Peel off the backing from adhesive and applique
Trace the outer shape for the backing, iron on adhesive backing and cut out
Place on some wadding
Flip and place cut out fabric backing, place cotton or ribbon at this point for hanging and then iron, trim wadding
Blanket stitch applique around the edges
