You can't beat a good British Pub

...and they are usually all conveniently quite close together. As is the case in Harpenden a large village not too far out of Luton. I've always like Haprenden but you'd need to be pretty well off to live here, it's a tad expensive to buy property. Our wander around the shops turned into a bit of a pub crawl, Joe and Michael have been tasting as many beers and ales as they can and are even keeping a book of scores!
So a few photos of what we were up to yesterday afternoon

Cottages
 all in a row
 Lovely pubs...

 the green
 First port of call
 Let the beer tasting commence

 It gets the thumbs up

We left here with a bit wad of beermats and a large rubber backed bar mat
given to us by a lovely young barmaid

Final port of call was The Fox an old haunt from way back

A little squiffy from too much wine!

Catching up with rellies today and back out this evening

See ya's ♥
