A morning in Raglan

 We had a bit of business to attend to in Raglan this morning, and as we had a few minutes to spare before an appointment, we sat and enjoyed the view for a while.

  As Joe was dealing with that I had a wander around a few shops until I was needed to sign some paperwork.

The tide was coming in fast

On the horizon you can see the waves on the bar which can be notoriously bad to cross as you leave the harbour, many a boat has overturned there.

Kayakers and paddle boarders are often seen here, you can hire these and go on tours around the harbour, you can also take a pleasure cruise on that small boat that is moored to the jetty in the video

After our appointment we grabbed a couple of flat white coffees from Raglan Roast with a ginger crunch slice to take to Lorenzen Bay

I rather like this quirky building

It was a glorious morning and it made us feel very reluctant to leave, but Joe had to head back to work this afternoon, I think the reality of our move is starting to sink in and with just 17 sleeps to go it's getting closer by the day.

This bay is about 0.7kms from where we will be living, it's just beautiful and so very peaceful

It's like we're living in a dream

If you continue on past that tree you'll eventually get to the Wharf when we often have fish and chips, how cool would it be to putter there in a boat, have some fish and chips and putter back.

Then it was back home, we had a really productive day yesterday and for the first time in ages we had a really good nights sleep. Michael came and helped Joe move more furniture.

The leather suite from the TV room is now in the lounge ready for moving day

We did a fair bit of tidying too yesterday, it was beginning to drive me mad, I like my chaos to be organised and it was rapidly getting out of control.
It's looking so much better today and quite spacious,
the book case is coming to Raglan

This room is slowly filling but at least there's not too much more furniture to go in there, just our bedroom stuff really, the rest will be boxes.

Kitchen and pantry to do next then my job inside is done.

I don't envy Joe the task of his garage, workshop and everywhere else. The good thing about those areas are that we are not on such a tight time frame. It still has to be done obviously but there's no pressure, Michael has things he needs to move in there sooner, rather than later.

Since I've got home all I've managed to do is this blog post and read some of my Te Pahu book club choice. I have to finish it by Thursday evening. Less than a hundred pages to go, so I'll get back to it and catch ya laters alligators
